The Rest Is Drag

The world of drag is multi-coloured and ranges from Kings and Queens to non-binary artists, so-called “Quings”, to creative “Creatures”.

In my work, The Rest is Drag I photographed various drag artists in the studio.

Since drag is a complex art form that often extends far beyond the stage or camera, I asked the artists to write a handwritten letter in which they give free rein to their thoughts and feelings.

Despite continually facing political threats, drag is here to stay.

It remains a vibrant and resilient form of artistic expression, community building, and cultural commentary. Its enduring presence reflects both its historical roots and its evergreen relevance in society.
